Something from Nothing

The Art Gallery of Ontario mounted an exhibit of the painted quilts of Pacita Abad. She often featured people in her work. This piece was created as a result of a challenge to create a self-portrait inspired by her work. For this I started with white fabric which I gel printed to create the texture and colour I was looking for. It is hand embroidered and quilted.
