Landscape
I have begun a City in Colour series to pay homage to my 35 years working in the financial centre of Toronto. The City in Colour series presents a textile interpretation of Toronto’s architectural landscape, focusing on its financial district. While these structures may appear imposing at street level, they can and should be appreciated not only for the stunning architecture, but as community spaces. By depicting these buildings in vivid, reimagined colors, the series aims to encourage viewers to look beyond their facades and to recognize both the value of their design and the dynamic life present within.
I’m also inspired by the glorious scenery of the Lake Huron coast where we have a second home.
